Lee R. Lambert is one of the founders of PMI's original Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Program, launched in 1984, and a PMI Fellow (2009). His professional lens is grounded in nearly six decades spent shaping how project management is taught and practiced, work recognized across several of PMI's most senior individual honors. He began his career with General Electric in 1968 and later founded Lambert Consulting, a project management training and advisory firm, through which he has trained more than 50,000 students in 55 countries. He is the author of two books, including Project Management: The CommonSense Approach, and more than 30 professional articles, and was named a PMI Distinguished Contributor in 1995 and PMI's Professional Development Provider of the Year in 2007.
